Dua Lipa and Callum Turner’s Wedding, 2026
A Schiaparelli skirt suit at a London town hall, then a Chanel couture gown in an eighteenth-century Sicilian villa. Dua Lipa’s two weddings were a lesson in dressing for the room.
Dua Lipa married Callum Turner twice in a single week, and dressed for each occasion with unusual precision. For the legal ceremony at a London town hall she wore a tailored Schiaparelli skirt suit and a hat, as a bride might have done in 1971. For the celebration a week later, in the grounds of an eighteenth-century villa near Palermo, she wore a Chanel couture gown with a feathered train. The two looks, and the two very different settings, made one of the most instructive weddings of 2026.

The couple
Lipa and Turner, the actor known for Masters of the Air, began dating in early 2024 and went public that July. Their engagement was confirmed in her British Vogue cover story in June 2025. At the time of the wedding she was 30 and he was 36.
The ceremony
London. The civil ceremony took place on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Old Marylebone Town Hall, before a small group of family and friends. Two days later Lipa posted the first official photographs, captioned simply “31.05.2026”; in the lead image, the brim of her hat hides the couple’s kiss.
Sicily. The celebration moved to Palermo for three days, June 5 to 7. Guests stayed at the Villa Igiea hotel, gathered for cocktails at the Galleria d’Arte Moderna Sant’Anna, and on the Saturday watched the couple exchange vows again in the grounds of Villa Valguarnera, an eighteenth-century villa in Bagheria. Elton John was reported to have played “Your Song” for the couple at the piano.
The dress
The London look. Daniel Roseberry made Lipa a custom Schiaparelli Haute Couture ensemble: an ivory cady blazer with personalized gold buttons, an asymmetric skirt and a sculpted blush bustier trimmed with white lace. She added a wide-brimmed hat by Stephen Jones, white gloves, Christian Louboutin heels and Bulgari jewelry, including the house’s Serpenti design. Commentators compared it to Bianca Jagger’s Yves Saint Laurent suit of 1971.
The Sicily looks. For the pre-wedding evening on June 5 she wore a backless white Bottega Veneta dress with a halter neck and a feathered skirt. For the wedding she wore a custom Chanel Haute Couture gown by Matthieu Blazy, close-fitting with a high neckline, an open back crossed by beaded straps, and a dramatic train worked with beads and feathers, with a long embroidered veil attached to a feathered headpiece. Turner wore a black Louis Vuitton tuxedo with peak satin lapels and a red peony boutonnière. The photographs, by David Sims, were released on June 20. Why it mattered
Lipa’s two weddings made a clear case for separating the legal ceremony from the celebration, and for dressing each one on its own terms: tailoring and a hat for a register office, full couture for a Sicilian garden. In an interview with Vogue Italia in August 2026 she called the wedding day “such a beautiful celebration” and shared the advice they had followed: to “show up at our wedding like we were guests ourselves,” and to keep checking in with each other through the crowd.

Borrow the idea
Consider a suit for the town hall. A tailored jacket and skirt, with a hat or a short veil, is chic, practical for a register office and wearable again. Our guide to the wedding dress decoded covers alternatives to the gown.
Separate the legal ceremony from the party. A small civil wedding at home, followed by a celebration abroad, can simplify the paperwork of a destination wedding considerably.
Take the couple’s advice. Arrive at your own wedding as if you were a guest, and agree on a signal to find each other every hour or so. At a large party it is easy to spend the whole evening in separate conversations; a planner or a friend can be tasked with bringing you back together.
Hold one photograph back. Lipa’s first post showed the kiss hidden by a hat brim. Choosing an image that is a little private is more memorable than the obvious one.
