Grooms’ Parents Issuing Invitation

If the bride does not have any immediate family, the grooms parents may issue invitation. Because the bride is not related (yet!!), use “Miss” in front of the brides name on the invitation and “Mr.” in front of the groom’s name. The following wording is used:

request the honour* of your presence
at the marriage of
Miss Minnie Ann Disney
to their son
Mr. Mickey Matthew Mouse
Saturday, the first of April
two thousand four
at five o’clock in the evening
St. James Cathedral
Orlando, Florida

PLEASE NOTE: If the couple are getting married in a church, the word “honour” is used instead of “honor”.
